SUMMARY:
- Responsible for implementing and maximizing health education program objectives.
- Responsible for implementing health education related program activities in accordance with New Bedford Public Schools, U.S Department of Education, Health and Human Services, and Department of Justice regulations, policies and procedures
- Responsible for health instruction utilizing identified program model
- Carries out other related administrative tasks as designated
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal
Qualifications:
- Hold Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license to serve as a Health Teacher
- Possess knowledge of Health Education.
- Have experience designing and implementing engaging lessons, units and assessments in that correlate to the MA Frameworks for Health
- Have positive classroom management techniques, be responsive to student diversity, enjoy working in an urban setting
- Have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with colleagues, administrators and parents
